Dear Diary,
On the first day of 2017, like every other person on this planet earth, I came up with my New year resolutions. I had grand plans for this year. I filled about 10 pages of my New diary (obviously you need a new, big and fat diary for new year) with thoughts and points about what new things I will do and what will be my achievements this year. That day I had a peaceful sleep.
Fast forward 8 months. While cleaning my cupboard, I came across a big fat diary with 2017 written on it. It was none other than my exclusive 2017 resolutions diary, which I was supposed to visit almost everyday and work on my checklist. Looks like I remembered those resolutions only for a day.
I really love making lists and working off them. Hence (despite a failed attempt with 2017 list) I am determined to make another list, only this time to share it with people who can help me keep a tab on it.
So here is a list which helps me capture top 10 things I am looking forward to in the rest of 2017 (Aug to Dec).
- Meeting people: Its been such a long time, I have met family in Pune, Mumbai and Jaipur, esp the kids (particularly Chintoo). I hope to meet them all in the upcoming events like function in Pune, Wedding in Delhi or people visiting Bangalore.
- Aishwarya's wedding: Aishu is a very sweet cousin and I am blessed to have such a cool brother. I am excited to celebrate his special days with him.
- Trying to sell paintings: I have a collection of painting which I think are good enough to sell. Hence in the next few months, I would like to put up my paintings for sale and see if people are willing to buy it. I am excited about this experiment as well
- Applying mehendi for wedding : I thoroughly enjoy the process of applying mehendi, esp weddings. I am looking forward to that in the Nov.
- Learning pottery: I have recently developed fascination with pottery. I hope to join classes for the same this year. I remember giving it a try at Pune home and it didn't go well . Hopefully i will get it this time.
- Becoming fit: With the increasing work pressure, I need to remember to go and exercise everyday. That way I will be able to ( hopefully ) avoid falling sick during the busy times in my job.
- Finding a new job: As I am always excited to learn something new, I am hoping to find a job which gives me an opportunity to expand my horizon.
- Wedding shopping: Of course any wedding calls for shopping. I hope to go and do some shopping. Poonam Didu, I will drag you with me :)
- Planting new seeds: I am excited to grow more plants. Hopefully I will plant a few tomatoes and mint and another variety of basil.
- Eating chaat etc in Delhi. Visit to Delhi calls for Chaat hogging . I am so excited to eat golgappas (despite it being Nov), chole Bhautre, Chola Kulcha, soya chaap, tikki and any other thing that is being sold on street and looks inviting
I hope I can fulfill atleast 7 out of these.
